Install Mtp Device Drivers For Mac

Tried reinstalling device driver, but it did not work.
Install the MTP USB Device Driver. Press and hold the Windows key and press R. In the run dialogue box that opens, type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter. This will open the device manager. Alternatively, you can also press the Windows key and type Device manager to search for it.
Device manager says it is now an 'Unknown Device'
- I cannot connect external devices such as the Samsung Galaxy. I tried multiple uninstall and re-install, no solution i tried many of the ways suggested in many forums, nothing worked. Actually when i forst connected te Galaxy it worked for a few days, then it stopped.

I clicked on Update Driver (both Internet & local computer a couple of times).
Error box indicates:
'Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device.

If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software.'
However, the Sony website simply says that the drivers are on Windows 10, and does not provide them. Their troubleshooting recommended uninstalling device in Device manager, and then letting computer recognize device anew. That did not work. Any fixes?

Samsung Galaxy S7 ADB / Fastboot Drivers for Windows & Mac
