I thank you for you help in this I tried many ways to install the driver but in windows 8.1 I do not see some of the options I once say in say windows XP. Once you are sure about the exclamation mark that need the ADB drivers, double click the exclamation mark and choose to install drivers, choose to do it manually, choose have a disk, go to the ADB drivers path and select the google ADB driver, apply and ok. ONce you enabled the USB debugging on your A500, connect it to your pc, then go to the Device manager and check for an yelow exclamation mark (if you have more than one, you must double click it, choose the details tab and look for the hardwareIDs string, copy it and search on google). My Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.1. During the installation of SiLabs VCP Driver (SiLabsUSBDriverDisk.dmg) things appeared normal and successful. However, the device doesn't work (not seen by application, not shown in Mac USB device list).
